How to Brew a Good Cup of Tea

Step 1: Choose Quality Tea

Step 2: Use Fresh Water
Always use cold, filtered water. Good water = good tea. Avoid reboiled or distilled water it can flatten the flavor.
Step 3: Heat Your Water
Different teas require different temperatures:
Black & Herbal teas: 95–100°C (203–212°F) boiling
Green & White teas: 70–85°C (160–185°F) just under boiling
Tip: If you don't have a thermometer, let boiling water cool for 1–2 minutes for green/white tea.
Step 4: Measure Your Tea
Loose leaf: 1 tsp per 8 oz (240 ml) of water
Tea bags: 1 bag per cup
Step 5: Steep the Right Way
Timing matters! Use a timer to avoid bitterness:
Black tea: 3–5 minutes
Green tea: 2–3 minutes
Herbal tea: 5–7 minutes
White tea: 4–5 minutes
Step 6: Enjoy Your Tea
Remove the leaves or bag, and sip slowly. Add honey, lemon, or milk if you like, but try it plain first to appreciate the true flavor.
